These are the conditions for using MARGEN: what each plan includes, how billing works through Polar, how to cancel and what happens to your data.
MARGEN (vsmargen.com) is an online tool to calculate and track the profitability of digital businesses: revenue, costs, subscriptions, campaigns and tax estimates. By creating an account you accept these terms.
You need a valid, verified email. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what is done with your account. One account is for one person; you can manage several businesses in it depending on your plan.
You must be over 18 and use MARGEN for lawful purposes.
Every new account gets a 14-day trial with Pro features, no card required. One trial per person.
Current plans: Essential (US$15 per month or US$150 per year) and Pro (US$29 per month or US$290 per year). What each plan includes is shown on the pricing page and in "My plan". Prices may change; if they do, we notify you at least 30 days in advance and the change applies from your next renewal.
If the trial ends without a plan, or your subscription expires, the account becomes read-only: you can log in, view and export your data, but not add anything new.
Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as merchant of record: it charges you, issues the invoice and applies any taxes due in your country. MARGEN never sees or stores your card details.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. If a charge fails, Polar retries it; meanwhile the account may show a pending payment.
You can cancel anytime from "My plan" → "Manage subscription". You keep access until the end of the period already paid and you will not be charged again.
Periods already paid are not refunded, unless required by applicable law or in case of a billing error. If you think there was an error, write to us and we will review it.
Everything you enter in MARGEN (businesses, transactions, campaigns, etc.) belongs to you. We only use it to provide the service. You can export it and ask us to delete your account at any time. More detail in the Privacy Policy.
If you use tracking links, you are responsible for informing your visitors as required by the laws that apply to you. MARGEN records clicks on those links on your behalf and does not use them for anything else. The Pro plan includes up to 50,000 counted clicks per month; past that cap links keep redirecting but stop being counted until the next month.
You may not use MARGEN for illegal activities, to send spam or fraudulent traffic through tracking links, to try to access other people's accounts, or to overload or attack the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
MARGEN calculates from the data you enter. Results (profit, ROI, ROAS, diagnosis, tax reserve) are guidance and are not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Before important decisions or tax filings, consult a professional.
We do our best to keep MARGEN running and back up data regularly, but the service is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it will never have failures or interruptions.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for MARGEN in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using MARGEN after that date, you accept the new version; if you disagree, you can cancel.
